Description and Mechanism

When it comes to the treatment of the patients suffering Hepatitis C infection, Velasof is a marvel cure against it.  It is combination of two anti-viral agents Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir. This drug is taken into use for treating all the Genotypes of HCV.

Velasof is a prescription medication and belongs to the group of antiviral medications known as reproduction complex inhibitors and NS5B polymerase inhibitors. It comprises polymerase inhibitors which plays a main role in the medication and treatment of HCV if followed for a period of 12 weeks.

Dosage and Administration

  • Treatment with Velasof may differ between 12-24 weeks as per the severity of infection
  • It is typically consumed once daily with a glass of water
  • It may be suggested alone or in combination with other anti-viral drugs

Side Effects

  • Common side-effects of Velasof are: tired feeling, nausea, headache, diarrhea, orsleep problems (insomnia).
  • Call your doctor immediately if: weak/slow heartbeats, shallow breathing/ low red blood/ rapid heart rate/cells-pale skin/ weakness/trouble concentrating.


Do not take Velasof if:

  • You are breastfeeding, pregnant, or willing to conceive
  • You are allergic to its components or Sofobuvir
  • You have/had suffered with any liver/kidney disease
  • You are taking medications containing same ingredients
